This is an exciting opportunity for the applicant to join a team of staff who are involved in the Safeguarding of both Adults and Children in Suffolk who have been victim of Domestic Violence.

The successful applicant will undertake administrative duties to assist the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) Co-ordinator. These will include managing referrals, organising meeting with partner agencies, compiling minutes and manage actions regarding MARAC cases throughout Suffolk. Applicants will need to have good numeracy and literacy skills, have experience of providing secretarial / administrative support, be able to demonstrate the ability to work proactively using their own initiative and demonstrate an ability to undertake research and collate information into reports.

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Good keyboard skills with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of attending meetings as an active participant and of taking accurate minutes
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment without close supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritise a varied workload
  • Ability to travel as required within the county

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Experience of working in a similar role e.g., dealing with victims of domestic abuse/sexual abuse/child protection or vulnerable adults in a multi-agency environment
  • Shorthand qualification
  • RSA Stage 3 typing or equivalent

Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
