The Applications Team support and develop over a 100 mainly Policing Applications including Mission and Business Critical Applications such as Command and Control and Missing persons. This is shared between 9 Application engineers giving plenty of opportunity to work on differing applications. This challenging, yet exciting opportunity involves the installation, support, enhancement, and maintenance of Applications software working with the business stakeholders to develop multiple applications to enable the constabularies to meet modern policing practices. The post will be involved with upgrades in conjunction with suppliers with the aim to enhance/maximising functionality.
The team is also actively involved with the introduction of new systems to meet the changing needs of the business
Having to support multiple Applications no day will be the same. A typical day will include monitoring application status and performance, interacting with Business owners to develop and progress upgrades. You will be working closely with the other Application Engineers and all other teams within ICT.
