Spire Healthcare are looking for a Deputy Chef to join our fantastic catering team here at Spire Nottingham.

Appointments available at a convenient time, you can usually be seen in as little as 24 hours. We're committed to looking after you.

Duties and responsibilities:

To supervise, prepare, present and co-ordinate the day to day delivery of high quality food and beverage to patients, consultants, visitors and staff in both the staff restaurant, patient rooms, coffee shop and boardroom. To support the Catering Manager with the catering team, including ward hosts and baristas to achieve quality and financial targets, whilst ensuring all work is carried out in a hygienic and methodical manner at all times. To deputize in the absence of the Catering Manager.

The position is full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Skills/qualifications we're looking for:

  • Able produce meals for patients, visitors, consultants and staff at the required times, adhering to the specified standards of preparation, production and presentation.
  • Experience of service within Restaurant and Coffee shop, with the ability to maintain the flow of food to service counters as required to the specified standard
  • Able to prepare food and beverages for special functions/events and assist with other related activities.
  • Knowledge of current Food Safety Act 1990 and ensure adherence to Natasha’s Law and PPDS (providing allergen information to the consumer for both prepacked and non-prepacked food and drink, ensuring effective handling and managing of food allergens in food preparation)
