An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be part of a recent national initiative studying the processes and outcomes of patients who undergo emergency laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery.
The Scottish Emergency Laparotomy and Laparascope Scottish Audit (ELLSA) Programme has been developed to enable the improvement of the quality of care for patients undergoing emergency laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery in Scotland.
The post holder will work closely with clinical staff in General Surgery to ensure the databases are kept updated with accurate data for each procedure captured.
Applicants should have a good general education, be self-motivated and able to work accurately under pressure. Excellent IT and organizational skills are also required. A knowledge of database function is essential as is the ability to communicate easily with both clinical and non-clinical staff.
