About the role

Business Support Administrator

Fixed Term, Full Time

up to £24,826 per annum

Location: Chelmsford

Working Style: Anywhere worker

We are pleased to offer this Business Support Administrator opportunity to join the ASC SST supporting the Service Placement Team (SPT) on a full-time fixed term contract until 30/09/2023.

The Service Placement Team sources services for adults across the county, adhering to contractual agreements and in line with the individual’s support plan. SPT is organised in quadrants to support the structure of the community teams

This role is classed as an ‘Anywhere Worker’ however there is an expectation for you to be able to work in the office when required.

The role

Your role will be predominantly (but not limited to) supporting unmet needs cases and hand backs surrounding domiciliary care where you will play a vital role in tracking and monitoring these. In this integrated role you will be providing essential support to the team ensuring the adults of Essex continue to receive the correct standard of care. You will have oversight of the unsourced care list and be responsible for the tracking of provider hand backs across the county.

The role has expanded and developed over time to cover a wider remit across SPT including:

  • managing the SPT administration of the incentive payments
  • supplying data for the Rapid Response Group
  • processing manual uplifts
  • taking telephone messages at busy times
  • supporting dormancy data cleansing and related activity

This list is not exhaustive and there are ad hoc requests that have been managed too.

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Educated to RQF Level 2 (GCSE), including Maths and English, with an NVQ Administration Level 2 or equivalent by experience.
  • This position may require minute taking, relevant transferable skills are desirable, however full training will be provided.
  • Evidence of the ability to develop skills and knowledge within role.
  • Demonstrable experience and competence of MS Office applications and their practical application.
  • Ability to use computerised systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.
  • Previous experience of managing electronic or hard copy filing systems.
  • Ability to communicate in a manner which is easily understood and tailored to meet the needs of the audience.
