The Role:

To inspire key retailer partners to execute in line with Kimberly Clark’s strategies to deliver category growth for the retailer and Kimberly Clark. You will utilise your exceptional understanding of shopper insights and data driven trends to become a trusted partner.

  • Create retailer specific category strategies and selling stories to drive category growth
  • Develop and agree joint category plans focused on key initiatives including range, merchandising and promotion recommendations.
  • Monitor, evaluate & communicate changes in category and shopper dynamics and recommend actions to address issues and opportunities affecting the category and/or KC brands
  • Be the voice of the customer internally to shape our business agenda

Skills and Experience

You have an inquisitive mindset along with excellent analytical skills and a talent to combine multiple information sources into a compelling story. You can develop highly collaborative relationships with an ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You play to win; you aim high, have strong resilience, and find ways to break through barriers

  • Experience in a commercial, customer facing role with at least 2 years within category development
  • Exemplary knowledge of category fundamentals including experience of leading range reviews and category projects with a major retailer
  • Experience of successfully forging and maintaining business relationships
  • Highly competent user of Microsoft office tools and Nielsen / IRI systems is essential.
  • Familiarity within other category tools such as dunnhumby, SIP, JDA is favourable
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Degree-level educated or equivalent preferred, but not essential
