Location: PR1 4UD
Contract type: Permanent - 30 Hours
Shifts Available: Flexible (Incl. weekends)
Rate/Salary: £10.92 per hour

About Ribble View:

Ribble View supports 30 adults living with complex mental health needs and physical disabilities.

The home has three ten-bed units, which gives it a homely and welcoming feel. In 2021, the home had a makeover and now has a smoothie bar, a café, a beauty salon and a pub.

Ribble View is rated ‘Good’ with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and has an average rating of 5 out of 5 on carehome.co.uk.

About the Role:

  • Preparing, cooking and serving food
  • Ensuring that food is presented well and looks appetising
  • Ensuring that food is stored according to food hygiene legislation
  • Minimising waste levels and disposing of food in an appropriate manner
  • Carrying out food and fridge temperature checks, and recording as necessary
  • Interacting with our service users on a daily basis
  • Obtaining feedback on food, reporting any compliments, comments or complaints

About You:

  • Be a qualified chef with a minimum of a relevant Level 2 qualification
  • Hold an in-date Food Handling Certificate
  • Have an understanding of our Service User's religious and dietary requirements
  • Able to work as part of a team whilst also having the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Polite & professional, with a positive attitude
