We are looking for fresh talent to join our highly successful team in Frodsham.

Are you highly motivated, engaging and a dedicated team player that wants to develop at the number 1 TripAdvisor Hotel in Frodsham. Part time position to work in the busy kitchen at Best Western Forest Hills Hotel we offer 8 hour shifts and no split shifts! Catering for all the events within the Hotel, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Restaurant service. Special themed Dinner Dances, Birthdays, Wakes, Anniversaries, Charity Balls, Proms. Plus a chance to get creative at the Gourmet nights, Approximately 50 Wedding receptions per year. With a Busy Christmas Period coming up for Dinner Dances, Private Parties and Residential Christmas Packages.

Main Purpose of the Job

To prepare and cook food to the standards set by the Head Chef and the Hotel Management.

The Job Holder is expected to be able to:

• Prepare and cook food to the satisfaction of the customers.
• Store all foods correctly.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Have responsibility for the preparation of the kitchen and equipment for service maintaining standards set by the Management at all times.
• Maintain the standards of personal hygiene, dress and appearance as required by the Management and in compliance with the Law.
• Have responsibility for all food handled during preparation, cooking and service.
• Have responsibility for the cleanliness of the working area and equipment used in accordance with the requirements of the Management and the Law.
• Present food to its best advantage with the object of increasing sales.
• Maintain stock levels of food products and assist in achieving Gross Profit margins as detailed by the Kitchen Manager.
• Ensure that all necessary measures and taken to prevent food waste or pilferage.
• To maintain good inter-departmental communications.
• Observe as applicable:
• Health, Hygiene and Safety Regulations.
• House Fire Procedures.
• Security Procedures.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
