Clinical Pharmacist Advanced A&E and Admissions

We have a new and exciting role for a Clinical Pharmacist to work with our A&E department and to support patients both within the Emergency Departments and on admission to the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle or West Cumberland Hospital Whitehaven.

The Clinical Pharmacy Service is well established and provides high quality care across a variety of specialties.

The Emergency Department Advanced Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for the ED and urgent care. You will be exposed to a range of clinical presentations and queries around pharmacokinetics and therapeutics.

We are looking for someone who has extensive clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience, the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. You will need to have excellent communication, clinical and negotiation skills, as well as experience of supervising other staff, providing education and training.

The candidates must have or be prepared to work towards a non-medical prescribing qualification to support the service.
