My client are looking for an individual to join their Cloud Security team as a AWS Cloud Security Engineer to help protect their customers' data and systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions in the AWS cloud. You will be responsible for conducting security assessments and responding to security incidents. You will also be providing guidance on cloud security architecture and engineering best practices.

AWS Cloud Security Engineer: The role

• Day to day handling of the SecOps activities, covering system administration, operations governance, threat/vulnerability management, and incident response
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls in AWS to meet security and compliance requirements
• Maintain and expand deep cloud knowledge, industry trends, and best practices to Identify emerging security technologies
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the security is integrated into all aspects of the development lifecycle
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensics analysis and providing recommendations for remediation
• Develop your professional expertise through mentoring more junior members of the team
• Provide security advice and guidance to stakeholders

AWS Cloud Security Engineer: Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud security best practices and technologies, audit and risk
• 3+ years of experience in a security engineering role
• Experience with security assessment and penetration testing
• Experience with security incident response
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM/SOAR , firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and antivirus software
• The ability to gain a deep understanding of a cloud platform and then demonstrate that through top quality engineering
• Proactive approach to work and able to manage work without close supervision
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, service meshes, PKI infrastructures and more
