   Capital Markets Technology– LSE Plc – is the heart of the stock exchange. It provides core application development, engineering, service management and operations of all Equity technology platforms that underpin the London Stock Exchange and the services that it provides to its customers.
 
 
 
   We require an experienced solution architect to join the LSE Plc Architecture team to assist in the Architecture, design and governance of these applications.
 
 
 
   Team Description
 
 
 
   Responsible for engaging with, Department “Champions”, End Users, Delivery Partners & stakeholders in the delivery of complex Application solution architecture across the group. Skills will be based around application design standards cutting across both on-prem and cloud based development. Working directly with our Business Services to understand requirements and translate them into fit for purpose designs, both extending existing systems and assisting in the development of new ones.
 
 
 
   Role Description
 
 
 
   Successfully manage and deliver project aspects.
 
 
  -  Creates and oversees the architectural design of large projects consistent with long term IT strategy.
-  Ensures the architecture is communicated, understood and adhered to by the project team. Works on multiple projects and manages time effectively, proactively assessing risk and dependencies
-  Partners with peer architects on large projects to provide ongoing architecture oversight throughout the development lifecycle, after the overall architecture has been developed and communicated.
-  Provides governance and review across multiple projects to ensure standards are adhered to and exceptions are managed and understood.
   Provision of appropriate documentation and controls
 
 
  -  Responsible for the production of Architecture impact and Solution Architecture documents.
-  Ensures consistency with architectural standards for assigned projects.
-  Provides and/or collaborates on design recommendations, application development constructs and integration solutions.

  -  Communicates solutions, technical designs through formal and informal means to business unit executives, technology management, peers and development staff, and other colleagues. Partners with project manager(s) to incorporate technical dimension to project status reports and communicates timely and accurate status information to project leaders.
-  Technical lead or part of technical team in project planning sessions with senior clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze development requirements and provides design recommendations for complex systems.

-  Works on issues of a diverse scope where analysis of situations requires skills and understanding of the Capital Markets industry trends.

  -  Liaise where required with IT & Business in order to assist with the dissemination of information to external clients as appropriate.

  -  Work and agree with Management and Technical Leaders the necessary performance metrics for the delivery of any associated Work Packages.
-  Exercise sound management skills in all dealings with project members and non-project stakeholders including but not limited to the skills of influencing, negotiating, conflict resolution, performance enhancement, and error correction.
-  Ensure assigned staff are aware of their responsibilities within the project, and provide input where applicable for assignment reviews on completion Project Activities.
-  Interface with respective teams such as Service Acceptance, Service Management/Design, and Application Support in order to deliver pre-identified Production related products in line with the CLC.
-  Attend Change Management Committee and Change Acceptance Board along with Project & Development Managers post testing and pre Go-Live to promote changes.
-  Interface where applicable with team members and stakeholders, in order to identify and agree the pinch points for delivery.

-  Design understanding of developing applications using AWS / Azure / Google
-  Good understanding of designing highly resilient multi region applications
-  Good knowledge of messaging, CICD and monitoring tooling and integration.
