Seize this opportunity to become part of Hitachi Energy’s High Voltage team in the UK & Ireland. As a Commercial Specialist you’ll work closely with the Operations Manager, Sales & Tendering Manager, and project teams. Support in the day-to-day financial functions of project and service in High Voltage. You will also perform a series of commercial responsibilities to deliver improved value to our business, identify and reduce areas of commercial risk, and benchmark our commercial performance across sites, product families, and specific projects. Ideally, you will require experience and expertise within the power or construction sector specifically within High Voltage. Provide commercial advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders and will ensure that robust contract management processes and procedures are followed.
Play a key role in contract management. This is critical in terms of performance, commitment delivery, customer experience and overall business reputation
Support delivery of health and safety, performance commitments, service, value, and compliance through the effective and efficient contract management.
Review and support for bank guarantees, governance and trade finance
Actively support project reviews with the project team
Identify and collate contract changes. Negotiate and finalise with customers.
Introduction of business improvements to reduce costs
Identification of areas of increased value within operations and tendering
Identification of risk and mitigation within tendering
Managing project cost information in SAP
Report local KPIs
Drive customer satisfaction by maintaining high quality standards in all aspects of the service delivery
Manage customer expectations of the overall service offering, product and portfolio
Your background:
Wide ranging experience in commercial contract management – FIDIC, NEC
You will be numerate, have good data handling and analysis skills and be able to compile, assess, interpret, and communicate complex data.
A strong communicator you will be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships and work collaboratively.
Skilled in managing multiple contracts and frameworks and implementing change to contracts.
Well organised, ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Positive, proactive and open-minded attitude
Experience conducting contract resolutions with clients.
A high level of personal drive and demonstrates a high learning ability.
Comprehension of English language both spoken and in writing. Both fluent and accurate - able to communicate at all levels internally and externally
