Salary £41,496 - £46,549 per annum Pro Rata | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week |

About the role

We are looking for an experienced senior engineer/designer for our datacentre team, working in a busy environment. You will have Professional or expert level qualification in relevant skill areas (e.g. LPIC-3) or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience in designing, implementing and supporting solutions. Working for the fourth largest local authority delivering Digital Services, you will benefit from great terms and conditions of employment whilst working in a fast paced technical environment.

We provide specialist services including on premise datacentre and Cloud services for 650+ local government and education customers, and over 15,000 end-users, covering areas such as Converged Data Centre technologies, Enterprise storage (EMC VNX/Celerra), Hyper Converged Infrastructure (VMware/Nutanix), Enterprise backup solutions (Veritas Netbackup / Office 365 backup technology), Cloud services (Azure), Linux system administration (Oracle Linux, Ubuntu etc) and scripting (BASH, php), monitoring technologies (OpenNMS, Zabbix), and more.
