Job Description


Who are we looking for?

You being part of a team that is on a journey to support UKAEA success, no two days are the same.

  • We expect you to be highly experienced in managing quality assurance activities within a workshop and/or manufacturing environment in a similar highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 based management systems.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets and use various Microsoft Office Products (Word, Power Point) to support the analysis & reporting of data and trend identification.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of using problem solving tools for root cause analysis.

What will you be responsible for?

You would be a part of the team providing quality support to staff at the UKAEA and would be contributing to the activities of the Quality group to maintain quality-related UKAEA processes to ensure adherence with the certificated management system.

  • Develop, establish & embed the quality assurance processes within the UKAEA management system.
  • Support the UKAEA process for identification and control of non-conformances.
  • Develop and monitor quality performance metrics including reporting to the appropriate meeting.
  • Promote the adherence to quality processes throughout the organisation.
  • Cross functional working with the Quality group to determine trends and ensure continual improvement.

Qualifications


Essential skills, experience and competence required

  • Highly experienced in managing quality assurance activities within a workshop and/or manufacturing environment in a similar highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 based management systems.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of using problem solving tools for root cause analysis.
  • An excellent communicator with a professional and proactive approach.

Desirable skills, experience and competence

  • A degree or equivalent in an engineering/science discipline.
  • Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare Excel spreadsheets and use various Microsoft Office Products (Word, Power Point) to support the analysis & reporting of data and trend identification.
  • Previous experience of implementing and using continuous improvement tools.
  • Knowledge in decommissioning would be an advantage.
