Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Chief Finance Officer at East Kent Hospitals to join an established, high performing and dedicated finance team, reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the day to day delivery and continuous improvement of the finance directorate ensuring a high-quality provision of service is achieved.
Candidates should be future focussed with a passion for improving patient care by leading the development of the team and its deliverables. You will have the opportunity to shape the development of the department and its significant links into the wider health and social care system.
As a leader, you will work with the Senior Finance Team, Care Group Leadership Teams and Trust Senior Management Team to ensure optimal quality, performance and service delivery. You will have highly developed leadership skills, be able to build successful teams and work collaboratively. You will be business focused, sensitive to clinical and political demands with the ability to cut through barriers to change. Able to analyse data, you will be confident in articulating business cases and presenting arguments for change.

You will be responsible for the delivery of effective, timely and accurate financial performance information having oversight of all aspects of financial management whilst operating as part of the senior leadership team.
A key part of your role will be leading and developing a strong team in a fast-paced environment inspiring confidence and encouraging development.
With a track record of resilience, you will be able to adapt to the changing expectations within the NHS, dealing with the complex challenges facing providers, being able to question and advise accordingly.
