Priory Group is the UK’S leading independent provider of mental health care and education services. We have an outstanding reputation both for the service we deliver and for the investment we make in our people and in our environment.
Set within landscaped gardens in Cheshire, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal (close to Manchester) offers a range of complex mental health services.
The hospital provides inpatient services for adolescents, and there are three wards. There is a low secure ward, psychiatric intensive care service and general acute unit. We are excited to announce that the general acute unit will be re-launching in May to offer an innovative and bespoke therapeutic service for young people who struggle with disordered eating. The young people’s presentations are expected to be complex and may include those who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties and use maladaptive eating as a form of self-harm, or those with ARFID or other sensory issues. It is likely that some of the service users will require feeding via an NG tube as part of their recovery journey on the ward.
