Overview:

To lead on digital engagement and communications across Croydon. To develop opportunities for service users, families, and significant others to communicate and receive brief advice through forms of social media, apps and email. To lead on a joined-up approach to communications and service provision. This role can be fully remote.

Responsibilities:
About the role:
  • The Post Holder will utilise their skills and experience to develop specific pathways which incorporate a digital approach, they will take a lead on developing this activity and specialise in increasing opportunities
  • Deliver low level advice through a variety of digital means such as using social media and remote consultations which will support engagement with underrepresented Groups within the locality
  • To use social media channels to advertise the service an engage with the Croydon residents and to create and/or to raise awareness of the service using targeted digital campaigns, e.g. Google AdWords and sponsored Facebook promotions.
  • To work with the national marketing team to support the creation of digital campaigns for specific community groups e.g. volunteers and to keep the website updated with service user content and news
  • Support Croydon service users to access 3rd party behaviour change tools such as NHS choices and PHE behaviour change products.
  • To work closely with all partner services, sharing appropriate information and ensuring that action plans are carried through.
  • To promote anti-discriminatory practice in ways which are consistent with professional and legislative frameworks and organisational policies.
  • To comply with workplace policies relevant to work practices to ensure a healthy and safe environment is maintained.
About You:
  • To have a thorough understanding of the issues faced by those with substance misuse
    concerns.
  • Considerable experience in engaging people digitally.
  • To have a thorough understanding of the issues and willingness to work with the
    client group
  • Knowledge of using social media and digital marketing for promotion
  • Experience of working in partnership with a variety of other agencies including the
    local authority, police and voluntary sector.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • The ability to work unsocial hours as and when required
  • Understand and have a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and
