RACE (Remote Applications in Challenging Environments) designs, procures, commissions, operates and maintains the wide range equipment used for maintenance and enhancements of the JET Tokamak and is active in the design and development of remote maintenance systems used in ITER and DEMO fusion reactors. RACE Buildings & Facilities Management is seeking individuals to support our team in maintaining and improving technical systems that are vital for managing day-to-day business operations. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our technical systems are operating at peak performance, enabling us to deliver exceptional service. In this role, you'll act as a super user/administrator for our new asset management system, coordinating with other departments and managing the storage and inventory of equipment. As a nominated delegate for an Asset Manager, you'll also be responsible for maintaining our digital visibility and ensuring that our software is always up to date. Additionally, you'll support other areas of our facilities team, including the test facilities and autonomous vehicle areas, RACE buildings & facilities maintenance and improvements, as well as work closely with our IT department.

What will you be responsible for?

- Support Asset Management systems including data inventory management and entry and use of multiple software packages
- Support management of statutory compliance records and schedules such as LOLER and PUWER
- Support on conducting periodic checks and updates to robotic software packages
- Assist robotic facility management in scheduling and management of users
- Support Facility Group in management and delivery of, day to day operation and communication, key events planning, implementing procedural changes, keys management and data accuracy

Qualifications

Essential skills, experience and competence required

- A-level qualifications or similar and relevant experience.
- Broad experience of facility technical support in technical led field
- Competency in all Microsoft office applications
- Experience implementing new software led processes in an organisation

Desirable skills, experience and competence

- Experience working with an Asset Management System
- Some experience in operation of robotic systems
