Job Description

You will support the identification and assessment of major operational risks across core commercial and operational activities through co-ordination and execution of the incident management process, follow up upon agreed actions, maintenance of the incident tracker and currency of report folders;

System Access:-

  • Deliver segregation of Duties policy and Maintain Segregation of Duties Matrix;
  • Execute job role system, the security access permissions and process / procedure;
  • Review active permissions and test permissions for exceptions / non conformance;

Business process and procedure KPI and KRI:-

  • Review and update the KPI / KRI Dashboard, maintain reporting and process data integrity;
  • Deliver regular KPI / KRI analysis and presentation; Extract Risk insights and present learning’s;
  • Facilitate appropriate process performance and continuous improvement focus by the business.

How will I spend my time in this role?

  • Ensure delivery of the Company’s risk oversight and control in relation to assigned new strategic initiatives and operational capability projects through balanced deployment of commercial awareness and requisite risk management and control;
  • Lead, manage, co-ordinate & maintain New Business Assurance and its deliverables against the actions tracker & the response returns folders;
  • Writes/updates policies, processes & procedure, providing flow charts and supporting documentation; ensures policies, procedures and processes are followed and understood. Performs Process Mapping looking at control points and annual (RCSA/CSA) testing of these controls;
  • Co-ordinate agreed internal audit responses to observations to address the weaknesses identified;
  • Work closely with all business and support functions and departments;
  • Works closely with all other Risk functions.

What skills/experience do I need to be considered?

  • Mature data analysis and presentation skills;
  • Business Governance and Operation;
  • Energy Trading/Retail Management environment in Middle Office or Financial Control or Business Change functions;
  • Developed understanding of applicable markets, commodities, structures and instruments;
  • Degree in Finance / internal Control / Business Change or equivalent.
