Located on Ludgate Hill, just on the corner of St Paul’s cathedral, one of the most iconic London landmarks, Lost Property hotel has 145 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar called Found, a coffee house called Tattle, and a gym.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for ensuring the Food Beverage outlets run efficiently and that customers are satisfied with the quality of food, drink and service they receive. You’ll be a great leader, effectively supporting and leading the team, be polite, courteous and professional.

Under your leadership, the team will provide a memorable and efficient service at all times to maintain an exceptional standard of service and quality.

Responsibilities and Duties

People

  • To act as an ambassador for the FB outlets and new starters
  • Provide day to day operational support to all food beverage departments as necessary
  • Drive Food beverage KPIs related to quality and service (TripAdvisor, Google+ etc).
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising all staff
  • Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers
  • Resolving customer complaints regarding food and beverage quality and customer service

Quality

  • To engage with guests, members, VIPS etc as a brand ambassador
  • To drive service standards to ensure guest expectations are met and exceeded every time.
  • To maintain a high level of cleanliness in all food beverage areas such as Tattle, Found public areas
  • To understand and have a working knowledge of all current Health and Safety policies and processes
  • To complete Food Beverage tasks such as but not limited to, taking guests food beverage orders, make beverages to the guests request such as coffees, teas and any specialty drinks we have on offer, to clear tables, clean as you go, take guests payments, clean and sanitize working equipment

Profit

  • To drive revenue and profit
  • To conduct monthly stock takes
  • To manage and control payroll in line with business levels
  • To ensure inventories and stock processes are in place and accurate such as food and beverage stock take

About you

The successful candidate will have previous experience in the hospitality industry in a similar role for year. You will be highly motivated and work well under pressure, with a 'hand on' approach. You will also have:

  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills to ensure a seamless and memorable experience, proactively resolving any challenges that may arise and tracking and reviewing feedback to implement long term customer satisfaction solutions
  • Strong communication skills through a variety of means
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks
  • High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one’s own time and the time of the team
  • Ability to stay calm and work under pressure

Lost Property St. Paul's Hotel is located on Ludgate Hill, 100 metres from St. Paul’s Cathedral and it is the newest addition to the Curio Collection within the Hilton portfolio in London.

The hotel consists of six floors and includes the buildings original façade. Lost Property St. Pauls features a charming restaurant and bar called Found but also a a neighbourly Coffee House - Tattle - offering British produced sourced locally.

The Interior design includes classic features and rich tones to complement the façade and immediate vicinity. Each room is influenced by eclectic artwork and contemporary design touches inspired by the London’s rich history in partnership with Key Interior and Designs and ICA Studio.

BREEAM approved with an “Excellent” rating the hotel will feature an upscale brand experience, courtesy of Curio by Hilton.
