GAS ENGINEER REQUIRED ASAP.

To provide an effective Gas Operations service that meets contract and customer expectations, to include gas installation, servicing and repairs.

Responsible for delivering a high quality and cost effective property repairs and refurbishments, estate services, gas servicing and installation and maintenance service across the UK to both internal and external clients. Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications. Resources Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed, in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets. Carry out installation, fault fixing, maintenance duties, installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems, in accordance with contract and service specifications. The job holder will ensure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.

Reacts to issues as and when they arise, operating within own level of decision-making authority.

Understands problems by linking different elements (e.g. A leads to B) or by recognising similarities / differences with problems experienced before and identifies possible solutions.

Current Gas safe registration

ACS (previously ACOPS) Natural Gas Domestic qualification

OFTEC registration Qualifications and Attainments (or knowledge and experience at an equivalent level)

Recent experience of undertaking a similar role

Working knowledge of building regulations, particularly Part L Energy Efficiency Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems BPEC

Certification (HPI) Heat Plumber Installer SDHW1LS (Solar Heating) Qualification card for working on Unvented Cylinders Full,

current driving licence

Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads

Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions

Skills Required Good understanding of written and spoken English

Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills Good communication skills

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 11 weeks

Salary: £17.34 per hour
