The successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users. This is an exciting and new opportunity to work in new ward for older adults for those suffering with long and enduring mental issues . You will be responsible for providing quality interventions and support to our patients; this will take the place of 1:1 and groups aimed at supporting and empowering people. This will range from supporting with personal care tasks to moving on from hospital and accessing community facilities and much more in between. You must be able to communicate in a sensitive manner. You will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary Team.
Cove Ward has a strong multidisciplinary team including healthcare assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, social inclusion workers, clinical psychology, and psychiatry. Our focus however is on the service user and they are at the heart of the team.
This is a full-time post 37.5 p/w working shifts across the 24 hour clock including weekends and nights.
To Support the delivery of care needs by carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
To contribute to the evaluation of programmes of care by reporting to the clinical supervisor.
As part of a team, provide high quality mental health care to the service users to promote recovery. To do all the above in a manner that maintains safety for all. To assist in service and good practice developments.
