Job Introduction

As a Business Centre Host/ess at Sodexo in Shell, London, your aim will be to go above and beyond the norm to create a workplace environment that takes our clients on a journey that will leave a lasting positive impression. Our focus will be on Business Centre Reception and supporting the Business Centre Catering team. You will require excellent communication and organisational skills as well as an exceptional eye for detail. What you’ll do:

  • Be an ambassador for Shell and Sodexo, showcasing and being part of a high-performing team.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all allocated areas, ensuring 5* customer service is experienced by all.
  • Monitor shift rotation ensuring all areas are continuously manned.
  • Ensure setup, upkeep, and maintenance of all meeting rooms/floor areas, printer points, stationery, vending, and general office areas to a high standard.
  • Cross-train on all aspects of the Community Associate services Sodexo provides on the Shell London campus.
  • Actively support and promote the “One Team” ethos of working and supporting departments.
  • Ensure that any administration, emails, diaries, and reports are kept up to date.
  • Checking daily booking reports to ensure requirements booked by the client are delivered.
  • Assist Catering operation including serving refreshments, breakfasts, lunches and setting up events
  • Complete all records and audits as directed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with planners to ensure all catering needs are met
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are complied with and adhered to.

  • Outstanding customer service skills, can-do attitude, passion for people and have a strong understanding and experience working in an environment where you can embark on a vision of high standard customer journey service delivery in a corporate environment.
  • Be approachable, warm, and friendly as you support & welcome fellow employees to their exciting workplace and connect with their team.
  • Ability to rapidly adjust to his/her work scheme and priorities to be able to adjust to a very dynamic work environment
  • Previous experience in a supervisor position
  • Highly professional manner and understanding that honesty and ethics are essential
  • Computer literacy / Administration skills

Package Description
  • 40 hours per week
  • £13.46 per hour
  • Working: Monday to Friday, Shifts alternating between 7am-3:30pm and 9:30am-6pm
  • Central London location, very close to transport links and underground within minutes' walk.
