We are looking for a highly motivated Lawyer who is a specialist in handling claims for asbestos-related diseases such as mesothelioma, pleural thickening and lung cancer. The successful candidate will run a high value multi-track caseload and will be able to deal with all aspects of running a case from initial interview to trial, including cases issued in the High Court. You will have a thorough working knowledge and understanding of the issues involved in dealing with multi-track cases, such as costs and the litigation process. you will also have proven and demonstrable experience of carrying out relevant investigations, obtaining relevant documents, preparing witness statements, preparing and attending conferences and Court hearings (CCMCs/Trials). This position will play an important role in helping to achieve the Unit’s objectives.

A key element of the role involves mentoring and supervising other team members, so an enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and expertise to grow talent within the wider team is essential. In addition to supporting the team, you will also have excellent networking skills, enabling you to nurture and develop relationships with asbestos groups, nurses and trade unions and, most importantly, our clients.
