Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their growing team of Human Factors specialists within the Defence Sector, with options to work across other industries including Critical National Infrastructure.

Our client provides expertise to enhance human performance within high hazard industry creating safe, effective and efficient systems.

You will be based in a local office (UK wide) but then expected to travel to client sites monthly, the rest of the work can be done remotely or in a local office.

• Provide Human Factors support to safety cases, such as development and substantiation of Human-Based Safety Claims.
• Deliver + lead HF work packages into Defence and other safety critical clients.
• Working with clients to apply HF integration and processes/standards to their projects.
• Mentor/lead junior Engineering staff.
• Responsibility for quality technical delivery, as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Support the writing of bids and contributing to innovation/knowledge sharing across their HF community.
• Apply human reliability assessment methods Eg. Error Analysis, HEART, THERP.

• Experience of providing Human Factors support to Safety Cases.
• Experience of applying Human Reliability Assessment methods and techniques.
• CIEHF Registered Member status or equivalent or working towards chartership.
• Experience of delivering Human Factors work packages within Defence or high hazard regulated industries.
• Experience of planning and applying Human Factors Integration and Human Factors processes, standards and techniques to engineering projects.
