To enable us to do this we are looking for a Learning & Development Associate to join our Castle Donington Learning & Development (L&D) Delivery Team. This role will be responsible for identifying training and development needs on site and creating new initiatives or reforming and improving existing programs. As well as owning and delivering our non-salaried Inductions and any other learning & development as the need arises.

This role will work Monday to Fri on a rotating shift pattern of one week 08:00am to 1630pm and the following week 11:00am to 1930pm.

An outline of what you'll be involved in:

  • As a member of the Castle Donington L&D Delivery Team work with business partners (including operational, technical and project teams). To determine learning requirements, methods of delivery, evaluate impact of learning and support sustainability of learning in the workplace, and measure impact effectively
  • Deliver the agreed L&D plan to timescales and quality expected, maintaining program data and tools to train colleagues and others
  • Work collaboratively across the wider centre to ensure you play your part to ensure a seamless L&D provision demonstrating an all-in for the customer approach. To include planning the learning delivery approach, co-ordinating with business partners and ensuring training and other projects are aligned with applicable regulations, Health & Safety and business standards
  • Deliver learning and development content to identified audiences (personally or through identified training resources).
  • Facilitate technical, colleague & management development training aligned to the wider centre business plan to the required standard and impact.
  • Promote blended / self-learning options, compile and analyse data to help with budget preparation and training priorities
  • Complete short, medium and long-term course evaluation always having a commercial eye on the value of any development. To include tracking and evaluating delivery to ensure volume, accuracy and quality of delivery, acting as change agent to drive continuous improvement throughout
  • Support with set-up and start-up campaigns, including end to end responsibility for direct hire campaigns, delivery of induction to non-salaried colleagues.

We are looking for someone who has experience of instructional design theory and learning principles and can identify training needs and learning through data. They will also need an understanding of the full training life cycle and an awareness of digital learning processes. In addition, they will need:

  • Experience with using Microsoft applications including:- Excel, Word, PowerPoint to create learning content
