A Food Manufacturing company are looking for a Maintenance Technician working on a 4 on 4 off days & nights shift pattern. You will be conducting routine & reactive maintenance on food processing machinery. Coming from a junior engineering or machine operator background with experience of mechanical engineering and looking to develop a career within a maintenance engineering role.

As a Maintenance Technician your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

• Ensuring the Engineering maintenance carried out in line with the schedule and effective and efficient corrective action is taken.
• Quick and effective response to breakdowns in designated area, where possible identifying root cause and suggesting possible improvements to prevent further breakdowns occurring.
• Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager or Principal Engineer.
• Work with the operations department to minimise plant disruption.
• Ensure all activities are carried out within health and safety guidelines.
• Highlighting possible areas of improvement to the Engineering Shift Manager or Principal Engineer.
• Follow the communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant downtime and minimise downtime by following a good engineering practice.
• Demonstrate basic problem solving techniques to identify root cause of issues.
