Seatronics, part of Acteon Group, supplies specialist subsea solutions pursuing excellence both in engineering capability and customer support. Our continually developing expertise allows us to provide full service capability on demand encompassing rental, sales, service and repair, calibration, personnel and asset management.

Seatronics are currently recruiting a Management Accountant to join the team on a full time, permanent, hybrid-working basis. This role is challenging and diverse with opportunities to develop your career within the group. As Management Accountant you will be an invaluable member of the team working in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Westhill, you will support the UK Financial Controller in all areas of the efficient functioning of the management and financial accounting systems providing timely financial and cost control reports and data.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support and record financial transactions and ledgers for Seatronics Europe region
  • Provide general finance advice and assistance as required for the UK team
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for internal and group reporting (Job Analysis, Balance sheet reconciliations, Pack I, II, III, V)
  • Compare performance with budget and forecast and report and interpret the results of operation to Financial Controller/Finance Director and Regional Manager on a monthly basis
  • Input branch monthly results into Acteon TM1 reporting system, including headcount and CAPEX detail
  • Provide payables, receivables, general ledger maintenance and banking support for Seatronics UK branch
  • Generate the monthly Seatronics UK branch payroll for review
  • Support monthly financial forecast for Seatronics UK branch
  • Produce month end and year end journals
  • Calculate month end accruals and prepayments
  • Utilisation of and support for ActeonNAV, TM1 and SharePoint
  • Provide information, reports, and assistance for annual audit process
  • Preparation of reports on debtors and creditors
  • Participate in the monthly Debtors review with operations and senior managers and responsibility for given actions
  • Produce quarterly VAT returns for UK branches
  • Provide cover for colleagues and Financial Controller when required


Requirements

  • Part-Qualified or QBE is desirable
  • Experience in a busy finance department, preferably in a similar role
  • Experience working with international accounts
  • Experience of effectively organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience of using Word, Excel and Outlook in the workplace to carry out a variety of tasks
  • Experience of working effectively without close supervision and supporting colleagues
