Management Accountant

We are looking for someone to join our Finance team as a Management Accountant on a 12-month FTC based remotely with at least one day a week travel to our Support Centre in Worksop.

As our Management Accountant you’ll manage the activities which contribute to the period end management accounts, associated reconciliations and checks. You’ll support the Assistant Management Accountants and Account Assistants with data analysis, commentary on budget variances, as well as reviewing and collating the output to present to management.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve preparing the periodic P&L, balance sheet and cashflow with appropriate variance analysis and commentary. Your role will also include:

• Maintenance of provision models in line with parameters set out by Financial Control.
• Contribute to the annual budget process and periodic forecasting.
• Support with the year end and audit processes.
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations and support the team to understand and resolve reconciling items.
• Recommendations to improve efficiency and quality of output, sharing best practice with the team.

For this role we need someone who has at least 2 years’ experience working in a management accounting environment and is ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. Confident in challenging the wider team, have an inquisitive approach to explore alternative methods, and drive continuous improvement across the department. Someone who is an expert in excel, sumifs and vlookup’s.
