An opportunity has arisen join our friendly Duns Medical GroupReception Team based in The Knoll, Duns. Reception staff are the main point of contact for Duns Medical Group and it is important that a positive, friendly image is projected to patients and visitors, both in person and via the telephone. A professional yet helpful and courteous manner is paramount to effective and efficient service delivery.
The practice is based within the busy Knoll Health Centre in Duns and serves a population of approximately 3100 patients.
You will act as a link between clinical staff and the patients, relaying important clinical information and messages. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
Candidates must be able to work flexibly between 8am and 6.15pm Monday to Friday and additionally cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
Ideally, you will have an interest in general health and wellbeing. Able to demonstrate empathy towards patients and staff and be trustworthy, reliable and flexible.
Experience working within a healthcare setting or customer service environment would be advantageous although not essential. The post includes the use of specialised IT packages for which full training will be given.
