Manage how the UK Radio Performance & Design team works internally; troubleshooting processes, developing tools and documenting/communicating to ensure the team is aligned. You will manage a team that governs tools, processes and documentation to the UK Radio, performance and Optimisation teams. Vodafone UK’s blended working approach means you’ll come to your contracted hub location office as and when needed to get things done for your role and for tasks that require it, otherwise you will be able to work from home. Our ‘Office in a Box’ home-working kit will be available for all who need it during your onboarding journey.
Act as a service/product owner for all tools and processes within the UK Radio Performance & Design team. Includes ancillary processes such as Drive Test Service Management and UK Performance Acceptance
Work closely with various engineering teams to scope out critical demand for tools & processes that need improving/developing
Document and communicate relevant changes to all internal customers with the UK Radio team using different methods e.g. internal comms platforms like WikiRAN & Teams), training sessions, governance meetings
Define and document associated Optimisation and engineering processes, procedures and standards. Drive cross-area, cross-vendor harmonisation
Ensure adherence by teams to new processes and report on benefits to the Radio team in a virtuous cycle
Strong knowledge of radio access technologies (2G,3G,4G, 5G), its deployment, acceptance, performance assessment and optimisation in a multi-vendor environment
Experience with defining and documenting processes, workflows and optimisation standards.
Agile/Scrum methodology
Experience of working cross-functionally and driving collaboration between teams and functions to deliver end goals.
Highly analytical with excellent communication skills – able to communicate confidently and effectively; able to explain complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand.
University honours degree (second class or better) in Telecommunication, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science a or equivalent industry experience
Radio team approve and use new tool developments and processes e.g. a regular survey will be required to measure success
Demonstrate a collaborative, proactive and solutions-focussed approach; quickly building effective internal/external team relationships to drive the delivery
