Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Local Authority in the Newcastle Area, who are looking for a experienced Paralegal or a Lawyer to fill a temporary post within the Housing & Litigation Team in Legal Services. The Team deals primarily with housing, disrepair, anti-social behaviour, prosecutions, licensing, regulatory matters and debt recovery.

ROLE: Paralegal or Lawyer
SALARY:(depending on experience)
BASED: Newcastle Upon Tyne
OFFICE: Hybrid working- 3 Month on going.

The Role-

• A confident, organised lawyer who can work to strict and often conflicting deadlines managing their own large caseload of disrepair claims.
• Caseload may include commercial cases such as anti-social behaviour, possession actions, renewals, regulatory matters etc.
• Recent experience of disrepair claims and civil litigation is essential for this role.
• Experience of working in legal services, preferably within a public sector setting desirable.
• Assist colleagues and supporting Solicitors and Team Management.

The Person-

• Experience Paralegal or Legal Executive with great experience in Housing law and recent experience of disrepair claims and civil litigation is essential.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to complete assigned tasks effectively and promptly
• Ability to prioritise heavy workloads
• Proactive and self motivated
