Are you an Experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Physiotherapist, with an interest in Falls, looking for a rare development opportunity?
The Countywide Falls Assessment and Education Service, has a 6 month secondment opportunity for you to join their dynamic team at an exciting time of service development across the county.
The team has a central base in Gloucester and this role will predominantly be based in Gloucester including supporting the medical falls clinic at Gloucester Royal Hospital. There will be the need to travel across the county, as we are a countywide service. The role will be mainly clinic based (at community hospitals, community bases and and at the acute trust).
The team comprises a team lead, specialist physiotherapists, health and exercise practitioners and team administrators. You will be a key part of our team, providing assessment, specialist advice and education, as well as developing personalised management plans to enable patients to maximise their strength and balance.

To work as a Band 6 Physiotherapist, in clinic, managing a specialised clinical caseload and participating as a member of the Falls Assessment and Education Service. As part of the team you will develop the skills to undertake triage of incoming referrals, support the teams Health and Exercise Practitioners and may have opportunity to provide education to other health care professionals and the public.
The role requires the ability to carry out in depth assessments for patients who have fallen or are at risk of falls. Robust clinical reasoning and complex decision making will enable you to work with patients to agree appropriate self-management plans. You will utilise health coaching approaches, a broad awareness of referral pathways, other services and community assets.
