About the role
We’ve a great new opportunity to be our Planning & Performance Manager, to authentically lead and inspire a high-performing team that actively exceeds goals. We’re looking for you to develop strong and effective relationships with internal and stakeholders across our directorates, build mutual trust and respect, and use this network to enable resolution of issues and complex problems by drawing on wider expertise and skillsets. You’ll empower strategic and operational decision making within the business through the creation, analysis and storytelling of reporting and analytics.
You’ll be setting precise goals and objectives based on a strategic planning process and implementing this strategy through strong communication that includes a plan of action, clear expectations, and accountability. We’re looking for you to ensure all team members have appropriate and stretching performance targets that are value-adding and simple-to-understand.
We’re looking for you to ensure effective planning and monitoring of work-streams to ensure all targets are achieved; this includes regulatory targets, along with ensuring that appropriate training, coaching, and feedback is in place to ensure your team delivers unrivalled planning strategy, tracked by a number of key business KPI’s.

About you
We’re looking for you to be passionate about creating both unrivalled customer, planning and employee experiences, and who will live that passion authentically every day, inspiring people and continually striving to improve and excel.
You’ll have proven experience of delivering the best possible levels of customer service, creating positive experiences for our customers whilst also motivating our people, and driving performance improvements across your team and its wider department context.
We’re looking for you to have proven planning knowledge, emotional intelligence and business acumen to build positive relationships within your own business unit and wider stakeholder groups.
You’ll have proven leadership and management across teams and disciplines, role modelling engaging leadership behaviour, along with a proven research skillset to aid problem solving and strategy planning, together with an in-depth knowledge of operational planning processes.
Knowledge of street works legislation and experience working with local authorities would be an advantage but not essential as detailed training can be provided.
We’re looking for you to have proven experience in customer facing competencies with the ability to present and communicate at senior levels and across a range of stakeholders, along with an understanding of the regulatory landscape in which we operate, including a detailed understanding of C-MEX, D-MEX & street works as well as other ODIs.
