Job title: CMM Programmer

Salary Range: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour plus overtime at Time & Half after 37.5 hours

Hours: 37.5-hour week

Location: Bridgnorth Shropshire

Permanent Contract working for a leading manufacturing organisation within the Automotive, Motorsport, Marine and MOD sector.

Due to expansion a CMM Programmer is required with knowledge and the ability to read technical drawings, CAD models, program CMMs using PC_DMIS and appreciation of general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Candidates that have worked within a high end precision engineering organisation would be well received.

Due to expansion this Motorsport manufacturer based in Bridgnorth Shropshire requires a number of experienced, dynamic and leading CMM Programmer to work a day shift on a permanent contract. As a CMM Programmer, you will be required to:

• Prove out of written programs to ensure correct running and accurate measurement of component.
• Conduct 1 st off inspection from written programs, along with manual measurements to provide a complete 1 st off report, including any required corrections.
• Conduct CMM calibration as required.
• Writing CMM Programs from both 2d drawings and 3d CAD models using PC_DMIS.
• Selecting suitable probe build ups to ensure accurate and efficient measurement of components.
• Develop and document fixturing requirements for each product.
• Generate clear and concise CMM reports which display all customer and manufacturing required outputs.
• Conduct running checks using CMM or manual equipment as required.
• Conduct measurements on other metrology equipment, such as shadowgraph, surface finish testers and laser scanner.
• Feedback to production of out of spec features or features nearing specification limits.
• Conduct ISIRs and compile reports as required by the customer.

The CMM Programmer will have the following skills or experience:

• Ability to read technical drawings and CAD models.
• Ability to program CMMs using PC_DMIS.
• Appreciation of general dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• A good understanding of inspection of machined parts, utilizing a variety of inspection equipment.
• A hard-working, team player with a keen eye for detail
• A positive attitude towards customer deadlines
• A flexible attitude to working hours and breaks to suit to workload
