What's involved with this role:
QAD/1052/1205 Role: Project Manager Contract Length: anticipated 10 months Location: Corsham – hybrid – Mainly remote, Team meetings once a month. May occasionally need to visit a supplier Our client is within central government in the defence sector, and they are looking to hire a Project Manager. As the Project Manager you will have at least five years’ experience working in a similar role and ideally an Engineering background and/or background in being an Engineering Project Manager is highly desirable. A Project Manager is required to lead and manage the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within defined performance, cost, and time parameters. We are looking for a Project Manager with a recognised project management qualification e.g. APM, PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification As the Project Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within defined performance, cost, and time parameters.
• Identify and set appropriate Project Controls. Track and report delivery against milestones.
• Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.
• Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making.
• Set appropriate project assurance for delivery by the Contractor.
• Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
• Effective management of the supplier and contract through life ensuring deliverables are achieved within set time, quality, and cost parameters.

As the Project Manager you will have worked in a similar role and will have the following skillset:

• Project Manager experience – 5+ years
• Assurance experience
• Engineering experience
• Experience going through MOD processes
• Desirable - A recognised project management qualification e.g. APM, PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner qualifications. (Desirable) OR equivalent work experience
• Engineering background and/or background in being an Engineering Project Manager is highly desirable.
• Project Management experience managing technical projects

Security Clearance: SC highly desirable; candidates with active SC clearance will be fast-tracked. Contract Length: anticipated until INSIDE IR35: Up to £467 per day pay range subject to IR35 status Location: Corsham – hybrid – Mainly remote, Team meetings once a month.
