The post holder will use evidence-based interventions in a trauma informed and user-led way in order to reduce repeat or long term admissions to psychiatric hospitals and support clients to live more meaningfully within the community. The post holder will work across inpatient, crisis and community teams within each locality of the trust, working both directly and indirectly with service users requiring additional support in times of transition, most commonly from inpatient to community services. You will collaboratively formulate their difficulties in an integrative way, taking added complexities including dual diagnosis, social and economic stressors, attachment/interpersonal difficulties and complex trauma experiences into account.

There isweekly clinical supervision, regular managerial supervision, and a peer supervision group facilitated by an external supervisor. There will be opportunity for role and service development, service user involvement and audit/service evaluation. Interventions are integrative/attachment formulation-led, and the service allows for long-term and intensive work as needed. The post holder will develop close working relationships with inpatient, crisis and community teams, and there will be opportunities to teach, train, consult and supervise as appropriate. The team supports some of the most complex service users seen in our trust, and as such excellent clinical, interpersonal, team working and risk assessment skills are required.
