Do you have a background in IT testing, do you understand service operations and accessibility requirements?
DWP Accessibility Technologies Service are responsible for defining and delivering the accessibility technologies strategy. Key to this is establishing how the DWP can support an increasingly diverse workforce, improving the user experience, and increasing operational productivity.
As a test analyst you will help assure the packaged assistive technology products used by DWP staff. You will be part of a multi-functional agile delivery team and be responsible for creating and executing test plans that enable the team to deliver quality services consistently that meet the needs of our employees. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with others and actively seek input from colleagues.
Applicants should be willing to regularly travel to Sheffield, where the team is based.
You will work alongside other members of our multi-disciplinary team inclusive of Accessibility Specialists and Infrastructure Engineers to help formalise end-to-end test processes.
The role will include testing packaged new and existing accessibility technology products to assure quality of products before deployment to users.
You should be familiar with some existing accessibility software products such as JAWS, Dragon, Read&Write and ZoomText.
You will be responsible for defining the overall test strategy and developing test plans.
You will be responsible for testing all areas of the products including but not limited to functional and non-functional requirements.
You will be willing to challenge current processes and help improve the ways of working, as well as drive innovation and constant improvement of both testing and products.
You will ensure that best practices are in place, and drive improvements by sharing knowledge and resources across teams.
