Job Title: QA Test Analyst

Location: Cambridge, UK

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced QA Test Analyst to join our team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications and products through testing and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Document all issues on the internal tracking system and communicate your important findings, risks to the team.
  • Design test plan, coverage, test scenarios with a focus on customer user cases and perform exploratory testing.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Planning and estimation of testing tasks, Logging and categorising defects, Maintaining and contributing to comprehensive documentation for testing activities for the benefit of QA team.
  • You are key to the continuous improvement in software testing, implementing improvements as to quality effectivity and efficiency.
  • You will work in an agile environment with the development team to drive a quality focussed and share knowledge, with product managers to ensure the delivered products meet the business specification, with QA lead to agree on priorities, provide estimates, report regular updates and identify risks/impediments and mitigations.
  • Work with Scrum teams, refining and planning development backlog and ensuring adherence to the SDLC.

Requirements:

  • API testing
  • Testing of web applications
  • Skilled in functional, regression, integration and non-functional testing.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team, take responsibility of completing tasks, reporting.
  • Familiar with agile testing framework.
  • Experience of sql, unix, being able to read logs.
  • Experience of using tools like postman, jira, azure devops, test rail.
  • Able to create, maintain and run automated tests.
