The Opportunity

As a Quality Engineer, the main purpose of the role is to oversee the Quality Control of all manufacturing whilst undertaking Quality Assurance and Quality Documentation Compilation for Nuclear Manufacturing of welded ductwork supply.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

> Oversee the acceptance of delivery orders into the factory from the client. Ensure fabrication drawings are processed into our manufacturing control system and accurately queued for production

> Oversee all QC inspection in the factory. Ensure operatives and inspectors are carrying out each stage of inspection during manufacturing in accordance with the manufacturing procedure and ITP

> Oversee all raw material supply by our suppliers. Ensure suppliers are providing goods in accordance with the international standards and project specifications

> Oversee all activity by our sub-contractors. Ensure sub-contractors are carrying out their activities in accordance with the international standards and project specifications

> Compile the lifetime quality records for the project. Produce the quality packages for manufactured batches prior to the delivery of the product to the client (End of Manufacturing Report)

> Complete ITP’s for manufactured batches

> Carry out QA surveillance of procurement and our suppliers, KAEFER manufacturing, and sub-contractor surface coatings where physical audits will be required in these areas

> Administer and manage the technical query process, the concession process and the NCR process

> Organise visits from client inspectors in accordance with the manufacturing schedule

> Liaise with customer representatives in the area of Quality Management. Expedite customer reviews/approvals of documentation in line with the manufacturing schedule

The ideal candidate for the role will be a well organised and diligent individual with excellent attention to detail.

Essential:

> Experienced Quality Engineer/Manager in the field of sheet metal manufacturing

> Experienced Quality Engineer/Manager in the sector of Nuclear

> Qualified Auditor

> Member of a Quality related institute

> An effective communicator

> Inquisitive and willing to query anything out of the ordinary
