Quantity Surveyor
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, and highly reputable Tier 1 rail contractor who have been in the industry for 80 years. You will be working on a rail signalling framework which is secured for a further four years. They have many contracts within the framework, all ranging in value up to £33M.
Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:
- Completing CVRs
- Managing multiple schemes simultaneously
- Working towards NR12 (target cost) contracts
- Production of monthly accounting, costing, contract, management and financial information on a timely basis for inclusion in the monthly accounts package.
- The monitoring of costs against tender/contract specifications and agreements. Advising the Commercial Manager immediately of any major problem areas
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:
- A degree within Quantity Surveying
- Experience working on a number of projects simultaneously from start to finish
- Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor would be beneficial
- Must come from either a rail or civil engineering background
- Have 4 + years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
Package offered for this Quantity Surveyor role:
- Salary up to £45,000 (DOE)
- £5,500 car allowance
- 26 days holiday + BH, pension, working hours 39
