We are seeking a skilled Red Hat Specialist with DV clearance to join a large defence organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our organization's Red Hat infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. This brand new HPC project working with leading technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Red Hat infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure system integration and compatibility.
• Develop and implement procedures for system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Implement security controls and perform regular security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Create and maintain documentation on system configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Provide technical support to end-users as needed.
• Participate in project planning and execution, including the design and deployment of new infrastructure.

Requirements:

• DV Clearance is a must-have.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in Linux systems administration, including experience with Red Hat.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with technologies such as HPC Computing, Infiniband or Slurm.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as Ansible, Puppet, Python or Perl.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
