Job Description

• Monthly reporting including month-end close, budgeting and statutory reporting under IFRS
• Analyse variances and provide commentaries where appropriate
• Act as the point of contact for accounting policy queries
• Advise business units on the impact of IFRS 9 on strategic decisions
• Identify any potential accounting and take proactive steps to implement new processes and controls
• Develop profitability analysis to support the business review process
• Manage the monthly OPEX accounting process and the annual OPEX budgeting process

The Successful Applicant

• Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with 1-2 years of post-qualified experience in industr
• Experience of interpreting complex contracts and applying IFRS (IAS 39 & other relevant) standards
• Strong computer and systems literacy specifically with MS Office and SAP
• Exposure to PowerBI/Tableau or a similar program
• Previous experience working within energy or a trading environment would be a distinct advantage
• A great team player with effective communication skills - both verbal and written
