Job Description
Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Senior Accountant (Adults) on a temporary basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Budget management, financial management of grants, Better Care Fund, Capital Monitoring and Inflationary budget management
• Partnership funding, tracking of Transformation programme delivery and other associated financial management
• Support the management, development and updating of the medium-term financial strategy (MTFS) and annual budget to ensure that it supports the outcomes set out
• Some line management responsibility, overseeing up to 4 direct reports

Ideal Candidate

• CCAB or CIMA Qualified Accountant
• Extensive experience in a Local Authority Finance environment with great working knowledge of Local Authority issues and policies
• Experience of financial strategy and budget monitoring
• Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team - management skills would be beneficial
