Youth Engagement Solutions LTD is a small business in Wembley. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Youth Engagement Solutions Our Charity works with young people up to 30 years of age from across London but predominantly from Brent and the surrounding boroughs. Our services aim to turn young people away from homelessness, criminal activity, unemployment, physical inactivity, and social exclusion and to help them play an active role in their communities. Through a holistic programme of services and intervention we encourage young people to take responsibility for their lives and chose a path that leads to fulfilled lives. We also aim to give young people a voice and provide positive activities and opportunities for their participation, whether it’s education, training, employment, sport, social or community activities..

Job Purpose
Responsible for formulating and implementing our range of services, including those related to counselling. Create relationships with key partners, oversee daily service operations, supervise staff and provide appropriate support.
The aim is for the post holder to plan, direct, and coordinate our prevention and intervention services for children and young people, including those with counselling needs. This service is vital to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing, personal development, education, skills, qualifications, and employment outcomes.
Taking a hands-on approach in service delivery, the post holder will also be required to deputise for the CEO in their absence.
Duties:
1. Coordinate Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation, ensuring the smooth running of all activities.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to support the effective delivery of our programs and services.
- Manage staff and volunteers, providing leadership, support and direction, and ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all programs and services are delivered to a high standard, meet targets, and meet the needs of young people and the wider community.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our programs and services, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, including young people, community groups, funders and other key partners.
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies for the growth and development of the organization, ensuring that our programs and services remain relevant and effective.
2. Work with beneficiaries
- Engage beneficiaries and provide tailored Information, advice and guidance in group situations and on a one to one basis.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessment of beneficaries’ personal and vocational needs; adjust learning and work-based plans where necessary to support the individual’s goals.
- Use skills assessment tools; computer aided guidance packages and psychometric assessments as required.
- Support individuals to overcome personal barriers and confidence issues with education, training and employment. Provide information for child care issues, benefits issues, training and job opportunities and the benefits avaialble once in work.
- Support beneficiaries throughout their journey to develop personal goals, and the pathways required to reach these. Regularly discuss and agree individual development plans with beneficiaries, and monitor clients progress against these plans.
- Create and deliver group training sessions/activities that will enhance the beneficiars’ basic skills, their health and wellbeing, their living skills and personal skills all of which are necessary for an individual to secure employment.
- Develop and deliver vocational services on career guidance, CV preparation, practical assistance in seeking and securing employment and learning.
- Track beneficiaries’ progress throughout the life of the project and provide follow up information about their destinations.
- To keep accurate records of interaction with beneficiaries, including both qualitative and quantitative data in the form of paper based and online/electronic data management systems.
3. Work with other agencies/services
- Refer to and work with funders and , other external agencies to ensure individual pathways are supported by a full package of services that lead to the beneficiaries’ motivation to find employment.
- Work with employers and training providers to develop new opportunities that are suitable for and attractive to YES beneficiaries and that deliver business benefits for the organisation and its employees.
- Collaborate with external training providers and with support from the CEO, develop, organise, monitor and evaluate in-house service provision that meets the needs of the beneficiaries.
- To support the CEO in providing data and monitoring reports to different project’s managing bodies and partners, in line with project’s monitoring schedules.
4. Other responsabilities
- To regularly liaise with, and report to the CEO on performance and development initiatives and actions.
- Promote YES Ltd service to beneficiaries, external agencies and within the business community; engaging employers and negotiating referral routes and job opportunities.
- To comply with and actively promote all YES policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity and Sustainable Development.
- Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/ disadvantaged communities.
- Undertake any other related responsibilities commensurate with the evolving objectives of the post and the evolution of YES.
5. Personal and professional development
- Provide and receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organisational needs and participate in YES perfomance management and appraisal process.

Experience which demonstrates:
- Highly developed, well-articulated expertise in team management across different projects with reference to employment, training and education (D)
- Experience of working partner organisations offering brokerage services for the benefit of beneficiaries.(E)
- A track record of delivering accountable services and excellent performance against agreed targets and objectives (E)
- Experience of managing budgets and action plans (D)
- Experience of collating quality data for the performance of a service and writing reports (E)
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders (service users, funders, partners) (E)
- Minimum two years experience of working with children and young people with a focus on counselling services (E)
- Experience working in schools/in partnership with schools (E)
- Experience of using Microsoft Office package (E)
- Experience working in a charity setting (D)
- Ability to build constructive relationships with young people in groups and on an individual basis (E)
- Experience of planning and developing programmes of work with young people. (E)
