Job Title: Senior Process Design Engineer (Wastewater Projects)

Our client is a leading MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) contractor with a proven track record of delivering successful projects in the water and wastewater sector. They are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Design Engineer to join their team in Leeds to work on Yorkshire Water Framework.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in wastewater treatment process design and optimization. Working closely with the project team, the Senior Process Design Engineer will oversee the design of wastewater treatment plants, from conceptual design through to detailed engineering, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

In addition, the Senior Process Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Developing process design solutions that meet the clients needs, within budget and time constraints
• Conducting feasibility studies, process simulations, and hydraulic calculations
• Reviewing and evaluating technical specifications, drawings, and documents
• Managing and coordinating the design process with the project team and stakeholders
• Supporting the commissioning and start-up of wastewater treatment plants
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations

Requirements:

• A degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in wastewater treatment process design and optimization
• Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with Yorkshire Water Framework and MEICA contracts is desirable
