Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Service Manager, for the Family Safeguarding Team in Hertfordshire.

The Hertfordshire Family Safeguarding (HFS) model of practice is an innovative child protection model developed in Hertfordshire, effective in keeping more children safely within their families and helping parents to achieve lasting change. Independently evaluated and referenced in both the recent Care Review and National Safeguarding Panel Review: our model of practice is acknowledged as a leading example of how child protection work can be effective in making positive changes to the outcomes for children and families.

Applicants for this post will need a professional Social Work qualification and be Social Work England registered. Successful candidates will have worked in a similar setting previously and have experience of staff supervision and management. You will have the ability to develop and sustain partnerships across teams and be an effective advocate for the Council. Strategic thinking and project man

This is an exciting opportunity and the role will include -

• You will be responsible for a number of Family Safeguarding Teams, with direct line management of Team Managers.
• You will provide expert advice and guidance in relation to decision making and care planning for children supported by Child In Need plans, Child Protection Plans and families within Care proceedings.
• You will lead with motivation and from a place of appreciation.
• You will report directly into the Head of Service.

A flexible hybrid approach can be taken but there is the requirement of office attendance twice per week. You will be required on site full time for the first week so that an induction can be done.
