About The Role

Waldon Telecom operates as a Wireless Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Company and is part of the Telecom Division of M Group Services.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to take on an additional SHEQ Advisor.

You are likely to work 2 days at home and 3 days visiting site or going into the West Byfleet, Surrey or Diseworth, Derby office.

As the SHEQ Advisor, your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Monitoring on-site compliance against company, client, and legislative requirements through operational assurance auditing.
  • Engaging and coaching contractors to help drive a positive safety culture.
  • Communicating on-site and ensuring clear and accurate communication on all health and safety-related matters.
  • Ensuring delivery of legislative compliance and promotion of continuous improvement of safety performance.
  • Investigating accidents and near misses and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements.
  • Fostering the development of SHEQ skills within operational line management.
  • Ensuring consistent implementation of SHEQ standards across the contract.
  • Support operational personnel to deliver their SHEQ responsibilities.

Skills & Knowledge Requirement:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel
  • NEBOSH General Certificate / NCRQ Certificate or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the legislative requirements and best practices in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality
  • Knowledge regarding CDM 2015
  • NRSWA Supervisor – preferred
  • Ability to conduct audits, inspections and recommend preventative action
  • Experience in a similar role with multi-site working
  • Experience, knowledge, and application of the utilities/construction industry
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft I.T. programs
