Job Title: Permanent Construction Site Manager
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
We are currently seeking a Permanent Construction Site Manager to join our Client for a new exciting project in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in timber frame and affordable housing construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction site and ensure the project is completed within budget, schedule, and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including sub-contractors, suppliers, and clients
- Manage and supervise the on-site team, ensuring they are meeting all project requirements
- Monitor and control site progress and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Deliver regular progress reports to the project management team
- Liaise with planning inspectors and manage documents for the purposes of submission to regulatory authorities
- Provide leadership and direction to all members of the team, including planning, organizing, and controlling work activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a site manager in the timber frame and affordable housing construction industry
- Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to manage and drive a project to completion
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Extensive experience in managing teams of tradespeople and sub-contractors
- IT literate with strong administrative skills
- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and develop team members
