It's an exciting time to join the Solutions Delivery team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us provide insight and guidance and to take the Robotics Process Automation, to the next level, whilst shaping the automation practices and architecture and driving defined business outcomes, we're looking for a talented individual to join this growing team.

Working in the Solution Delivery Team, the Solution Manager is pivotal in resource allocation, recruitment and retention, vendor management, performance management and personal development to ensure all teams are motivated to achieve peak productivity and performance.

You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:

  • Managing solution teams and supporting with the stability of the software solutions they produce and help shape its evolution
  • Identifying new process opportunities, assessing feasibility, and accurately estimating new process development times as required
  • Presenting technical recommendations to stakeholders to support balancing conflicting requirements and maximising value to the business
  • Contributing to the definition of Digital Solutions practices and processes, whilst creating and sharing the technical knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to support growth
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting members of the Solutions Delivery community to achieve a high-level of competence in best practice application of the appropriate software and testing technology stack
  • Communicating on software related issues, suggesting improvements, and participating with other users in the Automation community
  • Provide System Administration (SA) functions for best BOT efficiency and availability
  • Ensuring reports are aware of the CIO strategy and how their work contributes to the successful delivery
  • Performing appraisals and guiding the team on performance against delivery, whilst providing regular feedback, career conversations and PDP development

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience of manage multiple engineering delivery teams within major transformation initiatives
  • Solid background of management including managing for high performance, understanding current talent mix and creating career pathways
  • Working knowledge within a Lean and Agile culture, where teams are empowered and can form communities of best practice
  • Demonstrated ability within Software delivery, programming languages and modern architectural patterns
  • Deep understanding of contemporary agile ways or working with practical application at scale
  • Strong delivery experience, including programmatic principles, delivery leadership, servant leadership and cross team dependencies
  • Superior experience and knowledge of the UiPath tools (Studio and Orchestrator) and ability to support team members through all phases of the RPA delivery lifecycle
  • Experience of Designing and Automation Solutions
